The Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce ia an important and influential resource in the community. As the Chamber looks to the second decade of service to the Grosse Pointe community, activities and initiatives will be centered on three strategic pillars: Economic Impact, Fostering Collaboration, and Quality of Life. The three pillars stand at the core of why our Chamber exists and what services it will provide to businesses and residents in the Grosse Pointe community.
Economic Impact: The Grosse Pointe Chamber assists members through networking, best practice sharing, and advocacy, and by being a voice and champion for businesses and the Grosse Pointes.
Fostering Collaboration – The Chamber fosters collaboration among key stakeholders within the Grosse Pointes and the surrounding communities, to create a platform for problem-solving, to address critical issues facing the Grosse Pointes, to benefit residents, and to enrich the economic health of the business community.
The Making A Pointe collaborative series is an opportunity for the Grosse Pointe Community to learn, understand and engage in a conversation focused on the challenges, successes and innovations found in our evolving community. Modeled after the popular TED talks, the Making A Pointe series consist of three distinct evenings in the Fall, Winter and Spring. Each presentation is 12 minutes with a total of five presenters.
The presentations fit into five thematic headings: Challenges; Successes; Regional/National Trends; the Student’s Viewpoint; and Innovation Stories. The community is invited to attend the three FREE live events. The Making A Pointe series takes place at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial Theatre and video-recorded for dissemination on WMTV.
Quality of Life
Quality of Life – The Chamber enriches the lives of residents through the provision or support of events and activities that bring the community together in informal and formal ways to highlight our business community and to enhance the quality of life that exists in the Grosse Pointes.
