Anne Marie Gattari, a former Detroit journalist and Ford Motor Company public relations manager, is operating BrightStar of Grosse Pointe/Southeast Macomb, serving the Grosse Pointes and Macomb County. She learned the value of in-home care through personal experience. After caring for her father in his home the month before his passing, Anne Marie was pulled in a new direction – from a long career in corporate communications to caregiving.
“Everything about my work life, including how I identified myself and what I valued, shifted after that experience,” she said.
Nearly 15 percent of the residents of the Grosse Pointes and Macomb County are aged 65 or older and many have some form of mobility, sensory, cognitive and self-care limitations. “Like my own parents, they need help,” Anne Marie says.
BrightStar of Grosse Pointe/Southeast Macomb will provide that help with a full range of high quality medical and non-medical services delivered by compassionate, dependable and experienced professionals. “Bringing someone into your or your parents’ home is a very personal and emotional time,” says Anne Marie. “Our goal is to give families peace of mind.”
