Midwest Small Breed Rescue

Midwest Small Breed Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3 volunteer-based rescue for small breed and mixed dogs. We do not have a shelter. All of our dogs are housed in experienced foster homes where they receive love and care until they find that special home to call their own.

Prior to adoption, all dogs receive necessary medical treatment and vaccines. All dogs will be spayed/neutered before adoption except for puppies who will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract.

Most of our rescued dogs come from local Humane Societies and shelters in the Metro-Detroit area. We also receive dogs from shelters and puppymills in Ohio, Indiana and Missouri. Some dogs come to us with medical problems such as broken bones, severe eye injuries, etc. These dog receive the medical care they need and then we nurture them back to health. Many of the dogs we rescue were minutes away from euthanasia.

Michigan Humane Society

Our Mission: To end companion animal homelessness, to provide the highest quality service and compassion to the animals entrusted to our care, and to be a leader in promoting humane values.

Our Top Goal: Since January 2010, MHS has found homes for 100% of the healthy dogs and cats in our care. Upon reaching that goal, MHS set forth on a new primary goal: guaranteed placement of all healthy and treatable animals. As of Fall 2014, we have placed 100% of the treatable dogs in our care and are now focused on reaching 100% placement of treatable cats.

Artemis Pet Care & Massage

At Artemis Pet Care & Massage, my mission is to revitalize and enhance your dog’s physical, mental and emotional well-being through the use of compassionate, professional canine massage and bodywork services – provided in the comfort and convenience of your home.

Canine massage is suitable for both the young active dog as well as the older, less mobile dog. Massage is great for preventing injury especially if your dog leads an active life working as an agility dog, a show dog, a therapy dog or a service companion. Massage helps mitigate pain from past injuries, manage chronic diseases, and keep the body in the best condition possible.

Pets are part of our family. We treat them with care and respect and want them to feel emotionally and physically well balanced and secure. Like humans, dogs experience stress. They may go through emotional stress perhaps due to separation anxiety, mood changes, or loneliness. Dogs often feel the aches and pains of aging as a result of arthritis, joint stiffness and poor circulation. Massage can have a profound healing impact on a dog. Massage offers the same benefits to dogs as it does to humans.

Make an appointment today. Repay your dog for a lifetime of love, one massage at a time.
