The Grosse Pointe Academy offers students aged 2.5 through Grade 8 an educational experience that nurtures each student to seek knowledge, challenges students academically and inspires students to create their  future. WCCCD Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center

The Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center provides increased access beyond the Associate degree level through partnerships with four-year institutions of higher learning, which are housed at the University Center.   WCCCD’s University Center (located at 19305 Vernier Road in Harper Woods, Michigan) offers students and community members the opportunity to earn baccalaureate and Master’s degrees as well as career certification programs in various areas of study.

 

The University Center also offers WCCCD academic and continuing education courses, dual enrollment courses for high school students, programs and summer camps for children of all ages, workshops, seminars, symposiums and special community events.

WCCCD Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center – Center for Learning Technology

 

 During a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 19, 2014, the Mary Ellen Stempfle University Center opened its second building—the Center for Distance Learning—on the same campus site as its University Center (located at 19191 Verner Road in Harper Woods, Michigan).  In the fall of 2015, the building was renamed and became the Center for Learning Technology. 

 

The Center provides innovative approaches to using technology for teaching, professional development and community engagement.   The Center offers virtual classrooms and videoconferencing, a digital repository, video/audio production, webinars, and technology-enhanced meeting space for faculty, staff, business and community members.
