Join Rosann Kovalcik (owner, WBU Grosse Pointe Woods) on a bird walk through the beautiful grounds of Detroit’s Historic Elmwood Cemetery, rich with history, habitat, and of course – birds! This is a beautiful place, and Detroit’s first certified arboretum. There’s no better way to spend a fall evening, so come help us BRING PEOPLE AND NATURE TOGETHER!

Meet at Elmwood by 5:30pm. Walks generally last two hours but can vary depending on bird activity, group size, and extreme weather. After the bird walk, there will be a regroup and species tally, along with light refreshments in the chapel area. This event is free of charge and open to the public. Please wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes and weather-appropriate dress. Bring binoculars if you have them, though there are a few pairs available to borrow if needed. Please RSVP by emailing Joannie Frear Capuano at jcapuano@elmcem.org.
