Pop-Up Programs! 

 

Introduction to Historic Paints
and
Traditional House Painting

 

The inaugural program will feature new Grosse Pointe Park resident,
Tony Kartsonas, owner and founder of Historic Surfaces. Tony has
more than 20 years of experience and involvement with
80 significant projects listed on the National register or as
National Landmarks. An expert in projects involving architectural
conservation and the restoration and conservation of painted surfaces,
wood finishes, plaster and murals, his skills include gilding, glazing,
poly-chroming, stenciling, trompe l’oeil, faux marbleizing,
Venetian plaster and wood finishing

 

 

Tony will give a presentation on the history of historic finishes and
how they have evolved. Join us to hear this intriguing expert share his knowledge that will help you learn more about your own historic home!
