Presented by Marian Battersby, CSA, CDP, owner of Home Instead Senior Care.
Within the US, the current growth of the senior population is projected to nearly double from 52 million in 2018 to 95 million in 2060. Within those numbers are many positives; increased longevity, narrowing gender gap in life expectancy, etc., but challenges are present as well.
This presentation will address how isolation can impact the emotional, physical and social aspects of seniors’ lives and will define some of the negative effects of isolation and its contributing factors. We will also give tips to help aging adults remain active and purposeful, with local community support information provided as well.
