Broadway star and Grosse Pointe North Distinguished Alumnus Sandra Joseph will perform a special concert “Music of the Night, An Evening with Sandra Joseph” Thursday November 30th 7pm at the Christian A. Fenton Performing Arts Center.

Sandra Joseph played the role of Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera for nearly a decade. Now, she has taken her passion for the stage down a new path, serving as an inspirational speaker, workshop leader and author for audiences everywhere. Special ticket packages for the November 30th performance will include copies of her new book — Unmasking What Matters: 10 Life Lessons from 10 Years on Broadway which launches on January 23, 2018 in step with the 30th anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera, which occurs on January 26th and will be celebrated all year long.

I want to use my voice and the platform Phantom has given me to inspire people to shed their limiting identities, their masks,” says Joseph. “I want to help people move through self-doubt and live lives that are the truest expression of who they are inside. The tools I share give people the mental, emotional, and spiritual loft to create the life they desire without in any way trivializing the demands of the journey.”

The November 30th concert will include solo performances by Sandra as well as numbers from The Grosse Pointe North Choirs, selected soloists and members of Mack Avenue Dance. The proceeds from the show will benefit The Grosse Pointe North Performing Arts & The Sandra Joseph Performing Arts Scholarship Fund.

“Working through the inherent vulnerability of performing in front of an audience helps strengthen the courage muscles,” says Joseph. “Performing builds communication skills and offers the camaraderie of being part of a team to those students not inclined toward sports. The arts helped me feel a sense of connection and belonging, something every high school student needs. I’m honored to be able to give back through The Sandra Joseph Performing Arts Scholarship. Supporting the next generation is one way I hope to express my gratitude to those who supported me,” added Sandra.

Tickets are $25 for reserved main floor (which also includes a copy of Sandra’s new book) and

$15.00 for general admission balcony. There are a limited number of $40 VIP ticket packages which will include a ticket to the show, a copy of Sandra’s new book and a post-show meet & greet opportunity. Tickets may be purchased in advance at Wild Birds Unlimited at 20381 Mack Avenue in Grosse Pointe Woods.
