Event Description: The GPUC Adult Education Committee presents a free workshop based on the best selling book Runaway Inequality by Les Leopold, co-founder of NYC’s Labor Institute.

 

Learn more about developing successful grassroots campaigns for social and economic justice. This is a solutions-oriented guide to the wide-ranging problems associated with economic inequality in the U.S.

 

The workshop will cover:

  • The income and wealth gap
  • The historical context for social justice movements and contemporary organizing • Learning skills to create effective campaigns and actions • Developing concrete tools to use in your own work
