Steven Deeb received his MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2000. While studying at Cranbrook, he participated in the student exchange program, which allowed him to study at the Royal College of Art in London, England. Deeb also attended Scola di Lorenzo De Medici in Florence, Italy, in 1992.
Deeb has shown art for the past 15 years throughout the Detroit Metro area at such venues as the Scarab Club and 555 Gallery, both in Detroit; Lemberg Gallery and Next Step Gallery in… Ferndale; and Synergy Fine Art Gallery in Berkley. He has had solo shows with Artunbound and City Gallery in Farmington, the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, and the Cranbrook Art Museum. He has had additional exhibitions in North America at the Soap Factory in Minneapolis, Minnesota; Fire Exit in Columbus, Ohio; and Artcite in Windsor, Canada. Furthermore, Deeb has been awarded commissions by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Michigan and DM B&B, both of Troy, Michigan, and by Farmington Public Schools. Deeb has sold his art to individuals in Europe, Mexico, and throughout the United States.
According to Deeb, his passion has been inspired by the painter Giotto. In Deeb’s words, “Just like Giotto, as he dipped his brush in red paint and with one continuous stroke painted a perfect circle, the media of paint has always been the best vehicle for me to contribute to the never-ending discourse that is Art.”
