Photography is a powerful tool for exploring sustainability challenges. Dr. Edgar Cardenas will discuss how photography sits at the intersection between evidence and imagination, and how both are critical for thinking about sustainability. He will be presenting work from his book, Between Two Pines, and his photographic projects, One Hundred Little Dramas and Meanwhile in Detroit, to delve deeper into the normative aspects of sustainability and how photography can help us explore our relationship to the environments with which we regularly engage.

This program will be offered in person in the Ford House Visitor Center. There will be a zoom option for those who prefer to attend from home. Masks are required to be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status.

Admission: free but advance registration is required.
