Wild Birds Unlimited, Grosse Pointe Woods, Bird Walk at the Ford House
Many species of birds call the Edsel & Eleanor Ford estate home, and migrating birds stop by while on their way to and from warmer climates.
Join expert bird walk leaders and spotters, including Rosann Kolvacik, owner of Wild Birds Unlimited, as they explore the grounds. We generally see dozens of species on our walks, and every walk is different!
Don’t forget to wear multiple layers, dress for the weather, and bring binoculars if you have them (some will be available for checkout at Ford House). Wear waterproof shoes as you’ll be trekking all over the Ford House grounds. Most walks last around 2 hours and cover 1-3 miles of mixed terrain at a slow but steady pace.
We walk rain or shine. Please include all contact information – including your phone number – while registering so that we may let you know of any changes in case of inclement weather.
Cost is $5. Advance registration is required and is online only. Space is limited. Visit grossepointewoods.wbu.com/ford-house-bird-walks for a link to purchase tickets, full bird walk schedule, and recaps of prior walks.
